Classic Dodge Charger Sells For Over $1.4 Million
A 1969 Dodge Hemi Daytona was sold at the Mecum Auctions event in Kissimmee, Florida, for a whopping $1.43 million. Only 70 were produced with the legendary 426 cubic-inch HEMI V8 and just 22 were paired with the motor to a four-speed manual transmission. The Daytona auctioned by Mecum had both features and was the only one of the 22 with a T5 Copper Metallic body color with a white wing stripe and a tan interior, making it a truly rare classic muscle example. This ride also carried under 6,700 miles driven, a wow factor that helped raise the price.
Even today, over fifty years later, we have seen the iconic vehicle become a hot-selling item. Customers today are still seeking to restore their past with the Dodge brand. Today, we offer the Dodge Charger with plenty of trims including the SRT (Street Racing Technology) collection; like the famed SRT Hellcat Redeye. The framework of building vehicles that are legendary started years back and continues to serve as the Dodge legacy that customers embrace. After all, Dodge has won awards thanks to its stunning initial quality and owners loving their experience with their vehicle.
Dodge Continues To Reinforce Its Brand
The Dodge name has worked its way into the hearts of many. The truth remains, customers are totally happy with the Dodge Charger muscle car. There’s plenty of evidence to showcase this including the vehicles and their ability to perform. As far as a brand identity, Dodge has theirs. Regarding how this matters in the industry, Dodge brand CEO Tim Kuniskis recently spoke to Automotive News.
“There’s over 40 brands in the mainstream market. There’s over 300 nameplates. There’s massive overlap. So if you don’t have an identity … you’re just going to keep recycling the same people that are within the brand and like the brand, and you’re never, ever, ever going to grow, and you’re never going to be able to change the positioning of the brand,” – Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis
New Dodge Crossover Coming Soon
Dodge is diligent in producing superior EV technology for this newest admission of the notable all-new upcoming Dodge Hornet SUV. Reports have added the vehicle will be built on the ICE platform. The rebirth of the Dodge Hornet will evidently be supplanting the Durango in the coming years as a compact crossover that adds some serious speed and improved technology throughout.
The 2023 Dodge Hornet arrives as a battery-electric mobility with a heightened MPG that will run for the forthcoming decade. The Dodge Hornet is adding a lot of its innovation touches from the Tonale. Though the headlights and headlamps will vary, the cabin and interior are rumored to have borrowed some strings from the Dodge product and will include wireless phone mirroring charging with some Level 2 semi-autonomous driving aids. Regarding the engine, the choices have still not been confirmed, but we might see what forces fellow Stellantis brand Jeep and its Jeep Compass compact SUV. If this is the case, the Hornet carry a 2.0-Liter inline-four engine and possibly a hybrid alternative. Want to feel the rush of what a Dodge vehicle can provide? We promise it won’t cost $1.4 million dollars.
