Looking Ahead At New Jeep and Ram Products Expected To Debut In 2020

Across industries around the United States and internationally, especially production plants in the automotive world, there is a time lapse expected that will push deadlines back. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is no exception with its vehicles moving launched further into 2020. After another major venue for automotive launches closed their doors, the 2020 NAIAS event, this was not a huge surprise. What will be the surprise is when we know when things will return back to normal and that includes the parent company to both Jeep and Ram, Fiat Chrysler.
FCA Working Around COVID-19
FCA is going to continue its plan to push innovative vehicles that supply better fuel efficiency. Take for example the new mild hybrid system that will replace the 5.7-Liter Hemi V8 engine in the upcoming seven-seat 2021 Grand Cherokee. The Grand Cherokee will actually be built on Alfa Romeo’s Giorgio platform (another FCA brand) and will be sold with either an upgraded version of the 3.6-Liter Pentastar V6 or a brand new 3.0-liter inline-six. Ram has officially confirmed the 1500 Rebel TRX will be produced but hasn’t revealed a timeframe of the 2021 Ram Rebel TRX’s launch date. This is one of the upcoming off-road performance pickups that are sure to be a hit. There is still more news that should help customers feel good about the near future regarding new Ram pickups.
Good News Still Coming Out
Yes, the 2020 Detroit Auto Show was also cancelled due to the coronavirus epidemic, but we have found more good news. The latest reports have noted that while Ram Rebel TRX won’t debut as expected in June, it is still expected to show up in late summer of 2020. Another source also confirmed Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has kept plans to bring the new three-row Jeep Grand Cherokee to Motor City. The Jeep Grand Cherokee is planned for a later date in 2020, but plans are intact.
Even more exciting, though an exact date is not official, the supercharged Ram 1500 is expected to begin its first production run by September 2020. This will be housed at FCA’s Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan. Come to us to find out more news about what is going on with new Jeep vehicles as well as new Ram options like the Ram 1500.
